You can submit a Project Protocol once your Proposal has been approved and you have had confirmation that you were successful.
Now take the next step in the process of applying for funds by completing a Protocol form online. To read more about the Process of applying for Funds and the lifecycle of a project, download the Application for funding guide.
At this stage more information will be required to complete the Project Protocol. Again many researchers prefer to print a Word copy of the Project Protocol and complete it offline first. See the link below.
The sections within a Project Protocol are as follows:
Section 1: Identification of the Project – Short Title, Full Title, Pork or Cattle and Small Stock, Component and Outcome number, planned start date, length of the project and so forth.
Section 2: Personnel and Team Members – You need to enter the ID of the Primary Researcher and all the details of the Secondary Researcher and all the rest of the team, whether they are Researchers or Other team members. The 5 most appropriate scientific or technical papers produced by the team must be listed.
Section 3: Project Motivation – The aims of the project, methodology and your approach will all be part of this section. For a Protocol a lot more detail is required. Include the Literature Review, the Research Problem and Objective and a list of references.
Section 4: Financials – Here information about the estimated costs of the project need to be available here, based on each year, estimated income and so forth. Information about other donations, grants or funding obtained for the project.
Section 5: IP – Is there Intellectual Property on this project? You will need to enter more detail on this.
Please note the above details is not a complete list of what is required, it is to give you an idea of the information required in each section.
